  • Ride-on mower servicing and repairs

  • Garden machinery repairs

  • Fault diagnosis

  • Replacement parts

  • Machinery sales

  • Reconditioned machinery sales

  • Collection and delivery, where available

The exact service provided will depend on the customer’s requirements, the condition of the machinery, parts availability and our assessment of the equipment.

3. Quotes, Estimates and Approval

Where possible, we will provide an estimate or quote before carrying out work.

Estimates are based on the information available at the time and may change once machinery has been inspected or if additional faults, parts or labour are required.

If further work is required beyond the original estimate, we will aim to contact you before proceeding.

4. Diagnostics and Inspection Fees

Some machinery may need to be inspected, tested or diagnosed before we can confirm whether it can be repaired.

If equipment is found to be beyond economical repair, not repairable, or if the customer chooses not to proceed with the repair after diagnosis, a diagnostic fee may be charged.

This fee covers the time spent inspecting, testing and assessing the equipment.

5. Repairs and Servicing

We will use reasonable care and skill when carrying out servicing, repairs and diagnostics.

Repairs are carried out based on the faults identified at the time of inspection. In some cases, additional issues may become apparent once work has started.

We cannot guarantee that machinery will be repairable in every case. Where machinery is considered beyond economical repair, we will advise you of your options where possible.

6. Parts and Availability

Repairs may depend on the availability of suitable parts.

Where parts need to be ordered, timescales may vary depending on supplier availability.

Special order parts may need to be paid for in advance and may not be refundable once ordered, unless faulty or otherwise required by law.

7. Payment and Invoices

Products and services will be invoiced.

Payment is required in full before goods are delivered or before machinery is released to the customer.

This applies to serviced machinery, repaired machinery, diagnosed machinery, purchased machinery, reconditioned machinery, parts, collection, delivery and any other agreed products or services.

We accept payment by:

  • Card

  • Cash

  • Bank transfer

Bank transfer payments must be received and cleared before goods are delivered or machinery is released.

8. Release of Machinery

Machinery that has been serviced, repaired, diagnosed or otherwise worked on will not be released until payment has been made in full.

This includes machinery collected from our premises, returned by delivery, or released to a third party on behalf of the customer.

9. Collection of Completed Machinery

Once work has been completed, we will notify the customer that their machinery is ready for collection, return or delivery.

Machinery should be collected, or return delivery arranged, within 24 hours of this notification unless otherwise agreed with us in advance.

If machinery is not collected or return delivery is not arranged within 24 hours of notification, we reserve the right to apply a small daily storage charge of £5.00 per day for each additional day the machinery remains with us.

This charge is discretionary and may be waived where reasonable, for example where a delay has been agreed with us in advance.

10. Delivery of Products and Machinery

Items will not be delivered until payment has been made in full.

Delivery may be available depending on location, machinery type and availability.

Any delivery charges will be confirmed where applicable.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that someone is available to receive the item at the agreed delivery time.

11. Collection of Machinery

Collection may be available depending on location, machinery type and availability.

Any collection charges will be confirmed where applicable.

Customers should ensure machinery is accessible and safe to collect at the agreed time.

12. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the machinery and any known issues.

Customers should tell us about any previous repairs, faults, damage, missing parts or safety concerns where known.

Where possible, please provide the make, model and a clear description of the issue when booking work.

Customers are also responsible for collecting completed machinery promptly once notified, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed with us.

13. Sales of New and Reconditioned Machinery

The Mower Mechanic may sell new or reconditioned machinery, subject to availability.

Reconditioned machinery may vary in age, condition and specification. Details will be provided at the point of sale where applicable.

Any warranty or guarantee offered on a product will be explained at the time of purchase.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

14. Cancellations

If you need to cancel or rearrange a booking, please contact us as soon as possible.

If work has already started, diagnostics have been carried out, parts have been ordered, or collection/delivery has taken place, charges may apply for the work, time, parts or costs already incurred.

15. Faulty Goods or Issues With Work

If you believe there is an issue with a product supplied or work carried out by The Mower Mechanic, please contact us as soon as possible so we can review the matter.

We will assess the issue and advise on the next steps.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

16. Commercial Customers

Where services or products are supplied to commercial customers, any specific terms agreed in writing will apply in addition to these Terms & Conditions.

Commercial customers are responsible for ensuring machinery is suitable for their intended use and maintained appropriately.

17. Limitation of Liability

The Mower Mechanic will not be responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information provided by the customer, pre-existing faults, misuse, lack of maintenance, normal wear and tear, or issues unrelated to the work carried out.

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
